Vancouver Kids Fashion Week

In September 2017 I modeled during Vancouver Kids Fashion Week.  The event is on for two days during Vancouver Fashion Week and benefits the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

My mom was writing blog posts for their website and heard about the auditions so she asked me if I wanted to try out.  I thought it would be fun so I auditioned at Feng Feng Academy in Richmond.  A few days later I heard that I was chosen to walk for a line of fluffy princessy dresses called Cabriolle.  I was pretty excited. I love getting dressed up like a princess.

When we arrived on the day of the fashion show I had to go in without my mom and I didn’t see her again until after it was all over.  When it was time for my fitting, the designer said she didn’t bring the right size for me.  I was really sad, but another designer needed me so I ended up walking for Hugland by Haglund.  It was a crazy coincidence that the designer was from Stockholm and I was just there visiting my brother and sister.  The dress I wore was from her super edgy street wear collection, and it was more like art than something I would actually wear in real life.

It was a really cool experience!  I love fashion, and I plan to design my own collection one day.

Here is a behind the scenes look. You’ll see me getting my makeup done at the 19 second mark.

Here’s the video of the Hugland line that I walked for.
